With absolutely spellbinding performances from the leads, PS2 is more on the emotions of the characters than their lustre and glory. Mani Ratnam and his team, despite commercial temptations, were brave enough to pull off the right thing, which is a befitting finale for this novel adaptation.

After having directed a relatively sensitive subject like My Son is Gay (என் மகன் மகிழ்வன்), Lokesh Kumar returned with a commercially viable crime thriller that unmasks some beautiful 'undiscovered' geography of Vadachennai. With believable realistic performances, especially from the lead characters, N4 follows the life of a set of people in Vadachennai, which changes drastically due to negligence and the absence of acknowledgement of certain individuals.

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam enters a Shakespeare'ic philosophical zone, involving themes of drama, life, duality and organised chaos.
